Dear Liam on your 2nd birthday

Dear Liam,

Well your 2nd birthday has come and gone. Each day you are growing more and becoming more independent. I love how much you're talking. You're starting to say 2-5 word utterances pretty consistently and each time it amazes me how smart you're becoming. You love to learn new words. Everyday we try to teach you new words. Even words we don't try to teach you you're learning (including some not very nice words from mommy and dadoh, whoops hehehe).

Along with the growing independence the opinions have naturally started coming as well. You are starting to tell us exactly what you want and if you don't get it, boy do we hear about it! You like to yell, cry, and sometimes even throw yourself on the floor when you don't get what you want. You're spending time in your crib for time out pretty often.

Aside from fighting mommy a lot, you also love to love me and daddo a lot. You're always climbing onto the couch and snuggling with us. You never sit for longer than a couple of minutes because you're busy and curious. You love to learn and are soaking everything up right now. Some days I can't believe you're getting so smart. It makes me tear up because I'm not ready for you to be so big! But ready or not, there you grow!

Back at it!

Well, Liam's 3rd birthday has pushed me to at least update for his birthday letters. I wrote one last year (when he turned 2) but never got around to publishing it. So hopefully I can be better at updating. :)

Summer fun

We didn't do a lot this summer due to money constrictions but we managed to squeeze a couple of fun things in. 

We picked our own asparagus. 

I picked lots and lots of cherries from our cherry tree! 

Only for them all to have worms in them and had to be thrown away! 

We had a fun 4th of July (even though I opted for putting Liam to bed and not going to watch fireworks). 

Had sleepovers with the little bros including one night of fun campfire and s'mores! 

We went swimming a lot! 

We had a new baby cousin (Daxton) born! 

We had friends visit us from California! 

More friends from California! 

I started a new job. 

I did A LOT of canning (which I loved). These are canned whole tomatoes. 

This is the golden raspberry jam. 

There's golden raspberry jam, peach jam, and whole tomatoes all from produce from friends and family. 

Canned peaches from my moms peach tree. 

I made plum preserves and plum jam from the plum trees in our backyard. 

We went to the Utah state fair! That was pretty fun. 

We sold a car...

We bought a car...

And last but not least, we did lots and lots and lots of laying around. :) 

Our new home!!

Here are all of the pictures we've taken of our house. There are the befores, during (fixing up), and after. There are also just some general pictures of the house. Just to let you know the previous owners (we bought it as a short sale so they were kicked out) left the house FILTHY! the entire house needed to be scrubbed from top to bottom, literally. Pure filth. For example: one of the back of the bedroom doors was COVERED in boogers, obviously a kids room. I'm just so grateful for my family for helping us! I know I havent posted really any updated photos with decor and stuff because basically, we're still working on it. I hope you all enjoy! :)
