Can you believe it? I can't. My baby is growing up before my eyes. As much as this makes me so sad, I'm really enjoying everything he's starting to do. Here are some of his milestones.
He can hold his head up during tummy time at pretty much a 90 degree angle.
He can pretty much role from his tummy to his back, but doesn't always do it. Any suggestions on getting him to do it without any assistance? Like sometimes I have to tuck his arm under just right, or position his foot to be able to push off of something.
He's laughing and smiling a ton! But we can only get a really solid laugh when we tickle him. Otherwise he just gives slight giggles, which are also adorable!
He LOVES playing with his toys.
Teething is in full swing, which means he's drooling like crazy. That's ok though, we still love him. :) he consequently is always shoving his fist in his mouth to gnaw on. Silly boy.
When I took him for a checkup he weighed 13 lbs, was 24 inches long, and I can't remember his head size off the top of my head (and the paper is packed up because we just moved) but for all three he was between 20-30 percentile. A little smaller, but that's what we expected considering his mommy and daddy aren't big people.
He sleeps 8-9 hour streaks at night. Mommy loves this! I usually feed him at 8 pm and put him to bed at 8:30 then he'll sleep until 4:00-5:00 am straight. Now mommy just needs to get to sleep before 10:30 so I can get the full benefit of this sleep.
He's pretty much grown out of all his 3 month clothes.
He smiles at anyone who talks to him.
He's still gotta misshapen head from sleeping on his back. :( this is something that really bother me and no matter how hard I try to move his had while sleeping or pin him on his side, he always wiggles right back to where his flat spot is. I'm PRAYING that it goes away and rounds out on his own and he won't have to use a helmet. We do a lot of tummy time and sitting him practice which has helped a little, but there is still the flat spot. Does anybody have any amazing suggestions? I feel like I've tried everything.
Just yesterday he was laying on his side and I saw him use his weight to pull himself to his tummy. And it wasn't because he fell onto his tummy at all. He actually PULLED himself over. It was incredible and I was so proud!
His hair is slowly growing in and it's looking more and more BLONDE. In fact, I'm about 90% sure he's a blondy. He's beautiful. :)
At 16 weeks old he went to the beach for his first time. He had a good time.
We're now living in Utah and Liam did pretty good on the road trip. Hes done the Utah trip twice before this and he was an angel who slept most of the time. This time, he was much older and he doesn't sleep as much during the day. So he was quicker to be annoyed and wanted to be entertained. I also think that he's gotten use to sleeping in his own bed so he struggled to fall asleep in his car seat. But overall he did good.
Here are some pictures from last month!
