Surprise announcement for Joleen

I surprised CJ's mom with a little gift to tell her we were expecting. I went online and printed an ultrasound photo of a 10 week fetus (I was 10 weeks at the time) and used that to tell her the exciting news! I had my first ultrasound just 4 days later so I didn't have any pictures of MY baby, but I wanted a certain effect for the reveal of her 18th grandchild. She was visiting from Utah and really wanted to tell her in person and see her reaction. I completely think it was worth it!





I wanted to do something special like that for my family but they live in Utah and I wasn't going to see their reaction anyway, so I opted for telling them on the phone. Which I regret! But, oh well. :) That was a funny story because I told my brother Ryan (who's 10 years old) first, before anybody! Im pretty sure my mom didn't care for that. But I thought he'd like that. Ryan and I have always been pretty close. But I told him not to tell my mom and I told her, and she was shocked of course! I hadn't even told her we were trying and I'm pretty sure she didn't like being out of the loop on that either. LOL. She then asked how far along I was. I told her 8 weeks. To which she replied, "You've been pregnant for 8 weeks and didn't tell me?!" So funny. By the time my mom and I got off the phone, Ryan had already told EVERYBODY (dad, brothers, sisters) that T was pregnant. I'm pretty sure no one believed him. haha.

And even though I've been aching to get pregnant for about 2 years, I still don't regret having that solid 4 years of marriage before getting pregnant. :)

I think this is a VERY clear "boy" shot. What do you think? We took like 45 minutes trying to get the perfect, 100% clear angle.
CJ LOVES this picture of his face. Not because its exciting, but because he looks kinda alien-like and it makes him laugh. I think he is just precious!
My favorite picture/videos of the day? The little feetsies. Oooohhhh, I just wanna give those little toesies kisses! One day... :)
